Academics Designed Around Each Learner
At Fox Trail Academy, academics begin with understanding the child—not simply assigning work based on age or grade level. We consider each learner’s current skills, strengths, interests, support needs, and family priorities to create an individualized approach to learning.
Students receive teacher-guided instruction in a small setting, with opportunities for individual support and small-group learning. Lessons are adjusted in pace, presentation, and level of challenge so students can strengthen foundational skills while continuing to make meaningful progress.
Lexia and Zearn support individualized reading and math instruction by helping us identify skill gaps, monitor growth, and provide practice at an appropriate level. Technology is used purposefully and balanced with direct teaching, hands-on activities, discussion, writing, and real-world learning experiences.
Progress is reviewed regularly, and instruction changes as the student grows. Families receive updates and may request reports to support their homeschool records.
Our Homeschool Support Model
Fox Trail Academy operates as a homeschool support program rather than a public or private school. Parents maintain their child’s homeschool status and remain responsible for meeting Colorado homeschool requirements. We partner with families by providing structured, teacher-guided instruction, curriculum support, progress information, and a consistent place for children to learn and connect.
Tuition is privately paid and is not billed to insurance or public education funding. Our flexible tuition approach considers each family’s individual circumstances and level of need, helping make the program accessible to the families it was created to support.
Our goal is not to move every child through the same material at the same pace. It is to help each learner build skills, confidence, and a stronger connection to learning.
